BORSIG Process Heat Exchanger GmbH
BORSIG Process Heat Exchanger GmbH has complete in-house engineering facilities. Thermal layout of heat exchangers and special heat transfer calculations are performed and checked with computer programs developed in-house. For highly complex tasks, the gas flow and heat transfer are calculated by means of three-dimensional CFD models (computational fluid dynamics).
The pressure vessels and heat exchangers are calculated with computer programs developed in-house and commercial software PROBAD or PVElite according to all national and international design standards:
ASME CODE Sections I and VIII (Div.1 & Div.2), ASME B31.1 and B31.3, AD-2000, TRD, EN 13445, PD 5500, CODAP, RTOD, IBR, JIS, Australian Standards, Russian Standards, China SQL and GB 150.
In the case of critical parts, Finite Element Analyses are carried out.

BORSIG ZM Compression GmbH
BORSIG ZM Compression GmbH manufactures tailor-made reciprocating and integrally geared centrifugal compressor units. The complete process - from the first calculation to the compressor design and systems engineering, right through to manufacturing, delivery, commissioning and after-sales support - is implemented internally.
We also carry out feasibility studies and verification and revamp studies. The precise design and modernisation of the parts or components is also part of our portfolio. We can even realise the accurate replication and re-engineering of parts, components and entire compressors.
Our design work complies with the following regulations and standards:
DIN, ISO 8011 and 8012, API 614, 617, 618, 672, API-11P and other API recommendations, NACE regulations, ASME regulations
Our engineers use the following software to ensure the optimum planning, calculation and design of the compressors:
Pro-Engineer (3D), Inventor, COMOS, ANSYS, CONCEPTS NREC, XLROTOR as well as extensive calculation and design programs, most of which are developed in-house and are modified to satisfy the existing regulations and standards
BORSIG Membrane Technology GmbH
The BORSIG Membrane GmbH engineering team comprises experienced, highly qualified engineers and technicians who combine their years of experience with the latest engineering tools and programmes. This begins with process simulation using advanced process simulation software and continues with the construction of individualised equipment resulting in a final 3D model of the system.
Our staff consistently furthers their training making us an up-to-date, competent partner in the areas of process technology, construction, and measurement and control technology, and for specialised topics such as explosion protection.
In addition to the design and supply of complete systems, we also offer our customers individual engineering services for both new and existing systems.
BORSIG Service GmbH
BORSIG Service GmbH provides all customers of the power industry a wide range of engineering services in addition to general services for pressure parts and vessels. We focus on redesign and revision of existing systems and components as per customer requirements and in accordance with applicable current codes and standards.
We offer our expertise to our customers in any event of fault or damage. We inspect affected components, analyse damage symptoms and determine respective causes, including adjacent components. We then develop suggestions for improvement and conversion options.
Our innovative assembly concepts allow us to carry out even extensive disassembly and assembly work. Performing within the shortest possible time, professionally and in compliance with all required safety requirements leads to full customer satisfaction.
