Successful exchange of a vapour recovery membrane for Orlen in Ostrow (Poland)
BORSIG Membrane Technology GmbH
A defective 2000 m³ membrane within a vapor storage tank had to be replaced. The membrane serves as a buffer for gasoline vapors of a downstream VRU (vapor recovery unit). Together with our partner in the field of tank services, the work was excellently planned.
In a first step, the old, defective membrane was dismantled and then all necessary preparations were made for the installation of the new membrane.
In the following step, the new membrane (a weight of 1.2kg/m²) including suspension and all corresponding accessories was installed. After a successful leak test and function test, the vapour holder could be put back into operation.
Due to the smooth cooperation of all trades, the agreed time schedule was adhered to and the project was implemented to the full satisfaction of the customer.
