BORSIG provides replacement in Middle East
Berlin, 28th of March 2018. After just eleven months of production time, the first out of a total of four Reform Gas Waste Heat Boiler from BORSIG Process Heat Exchanger GmbH for a methanol plant goes on its journey to the destination in Middle East on 28.03.2018. " "The challenge of this order was the short production time of just 11 months. For such a complex job, this requires a high level of commitment from all parties. After all, the customer urgently needs the replacement units for his petrochemical plant. We successfully mastered this challenge and were able to fulfill the trust placed in us ", explains Carsten Birk, Managing Director of BORSIG Process Heat Exchanger GmbH.
The 19-meter-long and 140-ton heavy-lift is now on its way by river barge on the river Elbe to river port of the city of Aken / Saxony Anhalt. From there it it will be moved by a multi-axle trailer to the Leipzig airport. The Antonov AN-225, the largest aircraft in the world, is waiting there to give it a lift to its country of destination. The entire transportation has been arranged for by the forwarder appointed by the client.
